English: The ruins of the Chapel of Saint Birgitta (possibly Birgitta of Sweden or Brigid of Kildare) at Kapelludden on the east coast of Öland, built in the 13th century, with a stone cross from the same time. After this photo was taken, the cross broke into three pieces as it was knocked over by debris during a storm on 2007-01-14. The cross was repaired and erected again in October 2007.
Svenska: Ruinerna av Sankta Birgittas kapell (troligen Heliga Birgitta eller Brigida av Kildare) på Kapelludden på Ölands östkust, byggt på 1200-talet, med ett stenkors från samma period. Efter att detta fotografi togs bröts korset i tre delar då det slogs omkull av bråte under stormen Per den 1 januari 2007. Korset restaurerades och lyftes åter på plats i oktober 2007.
